I.S.R. RACING AT NÜRBURGRING FOR THE TURNING POINT OF ADAC GT MASTERS 2018

31.07.2018 - The intense racing summer of I.S.R. Racing is about to get to its heart as the team is heading to the circuit of Nürburgring (GER) for the fourth round of ADAC GT Masters 2018.

The Czech outfit is ready to make it to the track after a two months long break with the official drivers pairing made by Filip Salaquarda (CZ) and Frank Stippler (GER) at the wheel of the n.33 Audi R8 LMS. The target ahead is to confirm the performance shown at Red Bull Ring, where I.S.R. Racing has been shining with a bold performance.

The double challenge of this mid-season round of the exciting GT series will take place on the home of German motorsport: the 5.148 meters of the Nürburgring in its GP layout features 16 corners and some very fast sectors followed by driven bends, where a perfect balance and driving precision is paramount.

After the start/finish line, the circuit features the famous Mercedes Arena, a series of four corners that often produce spectacular racing action, especially in the initial laps. The track then continues with a slight downhill leading to the Ford Kurve and the famous Dunlop hairpin. The second part of the circuit is faster and the braking point of the NGK chicane will certainly offer overtaking chances before the Coca-Cola Kurve that leads again on to the pit straight.

The program of the weekend will begin on Friday with two free practice sessions at 10:10 and 15:15 (GMT +2). Drivers will challenge each other for the pole position of race one on Saturday at 8:45. The race will follow at 13:15. Q2 will take place on Sunday at 8:30 while race two will get green lights at 13:08.

The two races will be available through the live streaming feed on the official webpage of the championship www.adac-gt-masters.de and of the German TV www.sport1.de.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"Getting back on track after such a long break is definitely exciting, especially after the result scored at Red Bull Ring, which is our best result in ADAC GT Masters yet. Tyre management will be crucial at Nürburgring, temperatures will be very high and driving skills will be needed to get the most out of the Audi R8 LMS on such a technical circuit. We are quite focused on this weekend, we showed a good crescendo of performance in the first part of the season and we intend to keep the momentum up".
