25.07.2017 - I.S.R. racing is about to get on track this coming weekend at the circuit of Spa Francorchamps for the most awaited round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup: the 69th Total 24 Hours of Spa, that is also the penultimate round of season 2017.

The Czech outfit will be at its fourth experience with the classic Belgian race, that has a nearly epic flavour and will challenge men and cars in front of several thousands of fans in a crucial round for the championship due to its doubled score. I.S.R. Racing will line up the Audi R8 LMS n.75 that will feature a new, black and red, very aggressive livery. Filipe Albuquerque (P), Clemens Schmid (AUT) and Filip Salaquarda (CZ) will share driving duties in this event. I.S.R. Racing will also manage the Audi R8 LMS n.76 officially supported by Audi Sport with Pierre Kaffer (GER), Frank Stippler (GER) and the young Kelvin van der Linde (ZAF) behind the wheel.

Edition 2017 of the Total 24 Hours of Spa announces to be an electrifying race as usual. A total of 64 cars will get on track, 37 of which competing for the PRO category. I.S.R. racing's goal on the 7 km of the legendary track in the Ardennes will be to convert all the team's determination into a strong result. A perfect mix of several things will be necessary and crucial as tyres management, strategy, mechanics precision and a very good read of the race by the drivers on track.

The circuit of Spa is the essence of motorsport. It features sectors like the thrilling Eau Rouge - Raidillon leading into the very fast Kemmel Straight, and then the fast and technical Blanchimont and La Source. Spectacle on track will be high due also to the fact that cars on track will have slightly different specs compared to the rest of the season.

Weather conditions have been changing quickly in the past few days. Forecasts see abundant rain for the whole weekend and make this round even trickier.

The programme will start on Thursday with free practice from 11:50 (GMT +2) and pre-qualifying at 17:45. Spotlights will get the cars live for one of the most exciting moments, the two qualifying sessions at 20:10 and 21:55 when the night atmosphere will mix with car's headlights. On Friday, the warm up is scheduled for 18:45, and the drivers that posted the quickest times in qualifying will run the decisive 15 minutes of the Super Pole to define the top spots of the grid. The race will go live on Saturday at 16:30.

Media coverage will be quite huge. Motorsport TV and Eurosport will follow the race live, while the local network RTBF will repeatedly connect with the circuit. The official web page of the circuit will provide live streaming with English and French commentary.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):

"The weekend of Spa Francorchamps has a very special taste. The thrill and the adrenaline that one can breath here in the Ardennes cannot be matched by any other round of the season and our motivation to run a great race is very high. ISR racing has a special bond with this track, as we kicked off our adventure in Blancpain GT Series here back in 2014. We have a very strong team with Filipe, Clemens and Filip that have a lot of experience in endurance races and will get the most of every chance to be protagonist. Counting on the official support of Audi Sport for the n.76 car makes all our team very proud. This is a great result for us after these years where we have always tried to wave the Audi flag high and we will give our best to get an important result in this legendary race".
