30.05.2017 - I.S.R. Racing is about to get on track again for the third round of the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup, race scheduled for this coming weekend in Zolder.

The Czech outfit has shown a great potential in the first two rounds of the season and aims to turn the positive feelings of the eve into important points on the historic Belgian track. The n.75 Audi R8 LMS will be driven by Filip Salaquarda (CZ) and Clemens Schmid (AUT), while Kevin Ceccon (ITA) and Frank Stippler (GER) will be on the sister n.74.

The Belgian track is one of the shortest of the championship with its 3.977 km but is certainly a track not to be underestimated. The current configuration includes three very challenging chicanes, the Kleine, the Gilles Villeneuve and the Jackie Ickx in the order, that offers one of the few overtaking chances. Weather is also going to be important and, despite it being too early to make reasonable predictions, weather can certainly change quickly in this time of the year even in between sessions.

Action will begin on Friday 2nd with two free practice sessions at 9:55 and 14:20 (GMT +2). Three qualifying sessions will take place on Saturday from 9:15 ahead of the Qualifying Race that will get green lights at 15:00. The Sunday warm up at 10:10 will proceed the Main Race that will get underway from 15:30.

TV coverage of the event in Europe will be granted by Eurosport and MotorsportTV with live broadcasts and highlights in some countries. The official web page of the championship www.blancpain-gt-series.com offers also a live streaming feed with English and French commentary for the two races and qualifying.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal):
"Zolder is not an easy track. The twisty section is difficult to get right and in Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup it is important to be competitive since the very beginning. The weekend is going to be challenging and we know that we need to be effective since free practice if we want to collect some points. We are motivated to put on track all our resources to get an important result. Filip, Clemens, Frank and Kevin already showed their qualities and I am certain we can use all our experience to get a strong result, if our performance is not marred by some episodes".
